What's Happening at Chapel Hill UMC — June 2026

Summer is here, and Chapel Hill UMC is buzzing with activity! Here's a look at what's coming up in our church and community.

Summer Meals for Kids — Starting Tuesday, June 2 The San Antonio Food Bank will bring free lunch to Chapel Hill every Tuesday from June 2 through August 4 for all kids ages 0–18. Lunch is served at 11am. Flyers are available in the lobby. We need three volunteers to help make this program a success — please speak with Gary for details.

Food Pantry — Every Tuesday Our Food Pantry serves the community every Tuesday from 8:30–10:30am (first 75 families). Volunteers are always welcome — no experience needed, and there are jobs for everyone, whether lifting or non-lifting. Bilingual volunteers especially needed on Tuesday mornings. Show up Monday at 8:30am or Tuesday at 7am, or contact Gary Gallegos at 210.868.3236.

Diaper Pantry — Wednesday, June 3, 10–11am Contact Gary Gallegos at 210.868.3236 for more information or to participate.

Community Rummage Sale — Saturday, June 6, 8am–1pm Sign up today! Space is $15 cash. Visit chapelhillumcsa.com/copy-of-get-involved for details.

Church Board Meeting on Zoom — Tuesday, June 9, 6:30pm All board members please plan to attend.

CommuniCare Women's Health Mobile Unit — Wednesday, June 10, 9am–3pm The mobile unit will be in our parking lot offering free STI testing, women's annual exams, pap smears, UTI screening, and more. No cost. Walk-ins welcome; appointments preferred. Call Isabel at 210.449.9429 or Gary at 210.868.3236 to schedule. Language interpretation available. Open to women and girls of reproductive age.

Haven for Hope Volunteer Opportunity — Friday, June 12 Join us to serve food to those in need. Carpool leaves the church at 3:30pm; serving runs 4:30–6:30pm. Contact Kelly Harper or Paul Collins to sign up.

Beat the Heat — Community Resources Fair — Saturday, June 13, 10am–Noon Pick up a flyer in the lobby for complete information.

Faith Up Wednesday Reflections, Youth Group, and Barclay will not meet during the month of June. Open Road continues every Wednesday at 7pm.
