Pastor Becky Baxter-Ballou
Pastor Becky has been pastoring since 2001. She has been the pastor of Chapel Hill UMC, SA since 2020 - present.
Prior to her becoming the pastor of Chapel Hill, she was the pastor of Eagle Pass United Methodist Church, 2013-2020. During her time at Eagle Pass, one of her greatest services for God was in the position of MISSION BORDER HOPE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR from 2013 to 2015. This was a time of great need for hundreds of communities across the nation, and for thousands of refugees and asylum seekers flooding the international border with no food, clothing, or shelter. Under Pastor Becky’s leadership, the Mission Border Hope team received and managed millions of dollars in cash and supplies to help the refugees. Assistance flooded in from all directions and Mission Border Hope became the cornerstone for the asylum seekers.
Pastor Lucy Burch-Griffin
My name is Lucy Burch-Griffin, and I'm so excited to serve with you.
I'm a healthcare chaplain, a Provisional Elder in the United Methodist Church, and a recent transplant to San Antonio. I earned my Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School. My heart for ministry has always centered on people—their stories, their questions, their joys, and the ways God continues to meet us in every season of life.
I believe church is at its best when it is a place of belonging, hope, and transformation, where we can grow in faith together and learn what it means to love God and our neighbors well. I'm grateful for the opportunity to spend time with this community and can't wait to get to know you.
A few fun facts about me: I love crochet (really all forms of crafting), reading, thrifting, coffee shops, and spending time with my cat Bonnie and dog Clyde. My husband, Garrett, and I just celebrated our two year wedding anniversary!
