Did you know our church works hard to be ADA compliant? What does that mean? It means when folks asked us to build a ramp, we could not just throw out some cement and be done.
An ADA-compliant ramp refers to a ramp that meets the accessibility standards set by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to ensure safe and usable access for individuals with disabilities. This includes specific requirements around Slope and Rise. Width, Landings, Handrails, Edge Protection, Surface and Slip Resistance and appropriate Cross Slop.
